mm* Team Day victors crowned
You may remember a breathless post from the beginning of June about a certain outing, on which a certain agency persuaded its members to do some very, very silly things.
Well, itβs time to show you what we got up to on our fantastic, hilarious, slightly surreal team day in Stratford-upon-Avon. And, more importantly, announce the winners.
The productions
Julia was elected judge, as she had not been able to attend the day itself, and was deemed to be an objective party. By her account, it was a tough call. After some serious post-production hours to refine the videos (and a smidgen of popcorn bribery, which weβre pleased to report did not sway the scores) she came to a judgement:
In 1st place
Team Bottom, with βA Midsummer Nightβs Dream: the (silent) movieβ
In 2nd place
Team Romeo, with βRomeo and Juliet: mimes and buskersβ
In 3rd place
Team Cleopatra, with βAnthony and Cleopatra: an urban love storyβ
There were additional prizes for most elaborate costume, best multi-character work, commitment to the role, best murderer, best bystanders, and expert use of buskers.
Treasure hunt & challenges
When we set out on our adventure, none of us fully grasped the extent of our own talents and ingenuity.
New-found skills include, but are not limited to: conga lines (see below), invisible juggling, cross-dressing, horse-head-whispering, robot dancing, and selfies. You can see all the photos on ourΒ Facebook page.
The results
We can now reveal the final winner of the day as a whole, calculated on play quality and treasure-hunt scores. The winners of the mm* Spring Team Day 2014 are:
Team Cleopatra (Chloe, Steph, Dean, Nic, Emma)
Designated crap prize: Big Ben money box.
Commiserations to Team Bottom (Lisa, Russ, Russ, Peter) in second place, and the ever-enthusiastic Team Romeo (Steve, Rich, Shannon, Mark, Kasia), who came last (well somebody had to).
As we all return to normality, one thing is certain: the mm* Summer Team Day organising committee have got a tough act to follow!
