Tough Mudder: #mm20th edition

As many of you will know by now, we at mark-making* will have a team of athletes entering the Tough Mudder at the end of May. This element of our 20th birthday celebrations requires the participation of only the most hardcore (foolhardy?) mark-makers…

In training

As a two-time Tough Mudder veteran, I have been given the role of team leader/coach/Mr Motivator. In my capacity as mm* TM team captain, I’ve been devising daily challenges for the team to complete. Squats, press-ups, triceps dips, lunges and a variety of core exercises have all featured. You can see the team in action below, captured by team photographer Chloe in the mm* ‘outdoor gym’..

Along with the daily challenges at work, training for a Tough Mudder requires self motivation, so everyone has been training hard in their spare time to be ready for the 12-mile assault course. (I’m the only one hard-core enough to take selfies though.)
