Controversial win for the Silver Fox

January 2008

After three weeks of mega-splatting fun, the mighty Silver Fox is the official Snow-Blast champion for 2008…. but people are already questioning his champion status.

Minutes after the competition cut-off, Simon and Alisha Bates hit back in devastating style by both achieving enormous scores – dumping the newly crowned champion down into third place.

But rules are rules and it was just too late for the formidable Bates duo. The highest score at the 4.30pm cut-off time belonged to Silver Fox (AKA Andy Grantham from Hunts Lithoprint), rightfully entitling him to the championship crown and £250 for his chosen charity, Habitat for Humanity.

However, we could not let Simon’s sheer grit and chart-topping score go unrewarded. In recognition of his efforts he earned a one-off prize for Outstanding Achievement in the Face of Snow Balling Battle, plus a £100 donation to his chosen charity, Paul’s Trust.

Thanks to everyone who gave Snow-Blast a shot. We hope you enjoyed playing the game as much as we enjoyed creating it.
