LV's little book of protection

Our “Little Book of Protection” for new client LV= has just won the 2011 Marketing Design Award in the ‘Financial and Insurance’ category - beating a host of design industry heavyweights in the process.

The book was commended for its excellent mix of photography, typography and genuine business value and also shortlisted in the Consumer Communications category.

Liz Sands, Marketing Communications Controller at LV= said

“The award recognises a fantastic design and production job. Winning the Award and pipping some of the biggest brands in financial services is a fantastic achievement. It just goes to show that size doesn’t matter; it’s what you do with it that counts.”

Ali said

“A little book it may be, but it's now been recognised for the huge impact it's had, and we're delighted. Credit to LV= as well, for again living up to their commitment to demonstrating innovation in all that they do.”

LV's little book of protection

Every agency wants their first project for a new client to go smoothly. So when all 3000 copies of our ‘Little Book of Protection’ (LBOP) for LV= (Liverpool Victoria) were snapped up by intermediaries in a record seven hours we were pleased. Then when demand meant another 5000 copies would be required, we were delighted. And when a letter arrived telling us the LBOP was a finalist at the Marketing Design Awards, we were, as they say, over the moon.

The LBOP is an A6 book inspired by classic split page children’s books, immediately making the sombre subject matter more accessible and making it easier for insurance intermediaries to engage with their clients. Liz Sands, LV= Marketing Controller for Income Protection, described the response to the LBOP as ‘phenomenal’ adding ‘Everyone is really, really pleased. The book has gone down exceptionally well.”

We're delighted the LV= Little Book has been so successful from a business perspective, and now to be recognised for creativity is fantastic. “It's a case of marks made all round” said Ali “which is our objective with any project."

The Awards are being held on 1st November. We’ll let you know if the LBOP gives us any more reasons to be proud.
